Resonance, tango and Hyperion

I'm immersed in dynamical thinking. Was the synchronicity we created in the tango experiment an example of resonance? Here's a quote from Does God Play Dice (Stewart, 1989):

There's more to the picture than just chaos. At the lower left and right, towards the edge of the chaotic zone, you can see an 'island' of regular motion. This corresponds to synchronous motion, in which Hyperion always turns the same face towards Saturn (as the moon does towards the Earth). Hyperion might eventually emerge from chaos into synchrony. (p. 252)

Stewart quotes Basho (the 17th century Japanese poet):

Breaking the silence

Of an ancient pond

A frog jumped into water –

A deep resonance.

It's all coming together!

Rubber sheet dynamics

Last thought for the day, from Does God Play Dice (Ian Stewart, 1989):

To a topologist, squares and circles are the same, since each can be continuously deformed into the other.

Problem posting article due to equations

FYI, I'm having trouble uploading a .pdf document with a technical article.  Posthaven appears to be having difficulties rendering the equations in the article.  I'll try another method and re-post.

I think it is a display issue on Posthaven.  The file can still be downloaded accurately.  I've also uploaded it to my ASU Google Drive and created a link to it inside the post.
